Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 15, 2026
Airolog is built on a simple principle: your flight data belongs to you and stays on your device. This privacy policy explains what information we collect (very little), what we do with it (almost nothing), and how your data remains under your control at all times.
What We Collect
Airolog does not collect, transmit, or store any personal user data on external servers. All flight records, logbook entries, currency calculations, and pilot information remain entirely on your device unless you explicitly choose to export them.
- No user accounts are required to use Airolog.
- No cloud storage of flight data.
- No analytics tracking, no behavioral profiling, no advertising identifiers.
Crash Reporting
Airolog uses Sentry to collect anonymous crash reports. These reports help us identify and fix bugs to improve app stability. Crash reports include:
- Device type and operating system version
- App version and build number
- Stack traces and error messages
Crash reports never include flight data, personal information, logbook contents, or any identifiable user data.
License Activation
When you activate a license key, Airolog sends a request to Dodo Payments to validate the key. Only the license key itself is transmitted during this process. No personal data, flight records, or logbook contents are sent. Activation status is cached locally on your device so the app works fully offline after initial activation.
Airport Database
Airolog may periodically check for airport database updates from our servers. During this check, only the current database version number is transmitted. No user data of any kind is sent during database update checks.
App Store Purchases
If you purchase Airolog through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Microsoft Store, those transactions are governed by the respective store's privacy policy. We do not receive or store payment information, credit card numbers, or billing details from app store purchases.
Third-Party Services
Airolog integrates with the following third-party services:
Data Storage
All your data is stored locally in a SQLite database on your device. Backups are saved to your device's local storage. You have full control over exporting, backing up, and deleting your data at any time. We have no access to your local data.
Children's Privacy
Airolog is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has somehow provided information through the app, please contact us so we can address the situation.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of Airolog after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
Contact
If you have questions about this privacy policy or how Airolog handles your data, please contact us at support@airolog.com.
Terms of Service
Last updated: February 15, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Airolog application. By downloading, installing, or using Airolog, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Airolog, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all users of the application, including trial users and licensed users.
License Grant
Upon purchase, Airolog grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software under the following conditions:
- Each license key may be activated on up to 3 devices.
- The license is valid for both personal and commercial use (including professional pilots using the app in their work).
- You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or reverse-engineer the software.
- The license is granted to you as an individual and may not be shared with other users.
Trial Period
Airolog offers a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start the trial. After the trial period expires:
- You may continue to view your existing flight data and export it at any time.
- Adding new flights, editing existing entries, and other write operations require a purchased license.
Intellectual Property
Airolog, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of the developer. All rights not expressly granted in these terms are reserved. Airport data included in the app is sourced from OurAirports and is in the public domain.
User Data Ownership
Your flight data belongs entirely to you. Airolog makes no claim of ownership or rights over any data you enter into the application. You may export all of your data at any time in CSV, JSON, or PDF formats. We never access, analyze, or monetize your data. Deleting the app from your device removes all locally stored data.
Limitation of Liability
Airolog is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not responsible for data loss resulting from device failure, accidental deletion, or any other cause.
- We are not responsible for inaccurate calculations, currency tracking errors, or any regulatory non-compliance that may result from using the app.
- Our maximum aggregate liability is limited to the purchase price you paid for the software.
- Airolog is a flight logging aid and convenience tool. It is not a legal authority, certified flight instrument, or official regulatory document.
Refund Policy
- Direct purchases: We offer a 30-day refund policy for licenses purchased directly through Dodo Payments. Contact us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.
- App store purchases: Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Microsoft Store are subject to the respective store's refund policy.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your license if you violate these terms, including but not limited to redistributing the software or circumventing license restrictions. In the event of termination, your data remains accessible for export so you are never locked out of your own flight records.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or your use of Airolog shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
Disclaimer
Last updated: February 15, 2026
Aviation Logbook Disclaimer
Airolog is a flight logging aid. The pilot in command is solely responsible for verifying currency, recency, and compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations. This application does not constitute legal advice and is not a substitute for reviewing 14 CFR Part 61 or consulting with a flight instructor or aviation attorney.
Currency Calculation Disclaimer
Currency calculations provided by Airolog are based on the developer's interpretation of FAA regulations and are intended for convenience and reference only. You should be aware of the following:
- All currency requirements must be independently verified by the pilot in command.
- Regulatory interpretations may change over time, and the app may not always reflect the most current FAA guidance or legal interpretations.
- Currency calculations do not account for every possible regulatory scenario, exemption, or waiver.
- Always consult the current FAR/AIM and your certificated flight instructor (CFI) for currency questions.
Medical Certificate Tracking
Medical certificate expiration dates displayed in Airolog are approximations based on standard FAA rules. Actual medical certificate validity may depend on specific conditions, special issuances, waivers, and individual FAA determinations. Always verify your medical certificate status with your Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) or the FAA directly.
Duty and Rest Tracking
FAR Part 117 duty and rest tracking provided by Airolog is a simplified reference tool. It does not account for all operational variables and should not be used as a sole source of compliance. Commercial operators must comply with their specific operations specifications and company policies. This tool does not replace your operator's duty tracking system or dispatch procedures.
Data Accuracy
- The airport database is sourced from OurAirports (public domain) and may contain outdated or inaccurate information. Always use official aeronautical charts and current NOTAMs for flight planning.
- Distance calculations are great-circle estimates and may not reflect actual flight paths, airways, or routing.
- Night time calculations are approximations based on civil twilight and may vary from official sunset/sunrise tables for your specific location.
- Aircraft performance data, weight and balance information, and any other operational data should always be verified against official aircraft documentation.
No Professional Advice
Airolog does not provide legal, financial, medical, or aviation advice of any kind. All content, calculations, and features within the application are for informational and record-keeping purposes only. For specific questions regarding aviation regulations, medical certification, insurance, or legal matters, consult the appropriate qualified professional.
